Use you vacations to travel within India and promote domestic tourism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told people in Mann ki Baat.
He asked them to post pictures, experiences of their travel and what they think are the best places to visit. Try the variety of food that India offers, experience their way of life, Modi added.
He also asked people to specify the seven best places to visit in each of the State, he said, referring to the fact that October-March are the travel months.
"I am not against foreign travel. But discover India," said Modi, adding that he has travelled to 500 districts of India.
Referring to the FIFA under 17 to be held in the country this year, Modi asked people to use each the opportunity to enjoy the football fever.
Pointing out that Mann ki Baat has completed three years, Modi hoped that social scientists and media will analyse the impact of the programme, where he takes inputs from people and speaks on issues, using it as a platform to connect to people.using it as a platform to connect to people.

Reiterating that cleanliness needs to be made a mission, he lauded the move by Srinagar to have made Bilal Dar a brand ambassador for the city. Dar, all of 18 years, has spent last four-five years cleaning Dal Lake of plastics, and earned in the process. An estimate says that every year, he cleared 12,000 kg of waste material from the lake.
