The low-cost airline GoAir, which flies twice a day between Kochi and Mumbai, has soft-launched a travel package which will take care of flight, hotel and airport transfers.
Girish Nair, Chief Commercial Officer of the airline, told the media that this would add value to the airline’s service to the leisure and work customers. The package was in partnership with Cox and Kings.
Nair said the airline was in talks with Kerala tourism to bring in more tourists by designing cheaper packages. He noted that in view of monsoon tourism emerging in a big way in the State, the airline would cater its service to this segment of tourism. It was also introducing package for temple tourism as millions of pilgrims visit Sabarimala and other major temples in the State each year.
He added that the visa-on-arrival scheme for foreign tourists would help the travel industry. Nair said that with the acquisition of two more aircraft in a year, GoAir would be able to fly into more tier-II cities.
