Microsoft, Apple and Google seem to have suddenly found something special in the last week of October this year.

By the time this appears in print, the first event - Apple’s launch (most likely) of the mini-iPad - would have got over on October 23. On October 26, it is Microsoft’s turn to launch the Windows 8 operating system. Microsoft has also decided to officially launch its Windows 8 phone operating system on October 29.

Whether it is a case of ambush marketing or not, Google has decided to play spoilsport to Microsoft on October 29. It is expected to release the next version of Android OS.

But some deny that it is the next version of Android, as they feel it is ‘too soon’ after the launch of Jelly Bean. Google is also expected to launch a Nexus 7 tablet with higher storage. There are reports that Google may also launch a 10 inch tablet made by Samsung.

What’s more interesting is the launch of Nexus mobile phones. Usually, Google launches only one Nexus phone, but this time, it could be two -- one by LG and the other by Sony. These conjectures have been arrived on basis of leaked photos of Nexus phones.

Of the launches, Microsoft's Windows 8 launch on October 26 will have an impact in India on the same day, as the OS will be available for upgrade on the same day.

The week promises to be exciting for all tech and gadget lovers.
