Aamir Khan-starrer PK earned ₹ 95.21 crore as net domestic box office collections over the first weekend, with Sunday garnering record-breaking collections.
While the movie garnered ₹ 26.63 crore on the first day of its release, on Saturday and Sunday net box office collections stood at ₹ 30.34 crore and ₹ 38.24 crore respectively.
From Friday to Sunday, the company’s box office collections shot up, on the back of strong word of mouth from movie buffs. In the international markets, the movie earned about ₹ 47.6 crore.
The movie has been released across over 800 screens in international markets that include North America, UK, Australia and the Gulf Region among others. The movie was released over 4000 screens in India. It is the first Hindi movie which is being tracked by international company Rentrak.
