One service from Google that has been constantly improving by leaps and bounds is Google+. Though features like Hangout, where ten people can have video chat together, are old, there aren’t many people using it, as video chat require a fast internet connection.
On Thursday, Google+ introduced one more feature - Events and Party Mode. Events takes a leaf out of Facebook Events and adds more exciting features, like linking with Google Calendar and Photos - and live uploading of the event pictures.
When an event is created, Google+ allows you to choose the theme picture. You can select from pre-loaded pictures, including animated themes, or use one of your own pictures. You can even upload a new picture.
While creating or accepting an event, you will be able to check whether your schedule is right in Google Calendar. If you have received an event invitation, it will show up in your Google Calendar and you can specify whether or not you are going.
Party Mode allows you to share pictures and videos you take during an event instantly with all of those who have accepted your event request, if you have the Google+ Android app installed. You have the option of not using the Party Mode, or turning off the Party Mode in the middle of the event through the notification bar.
Anyone going to the event can share photos to one single photo collection through Party Mode or later on the event page from any Google Album.
You can also use the Hangout option in advance when an event is created. When the Hangout session is scheduled to begin, everyone will be notified about the Hangout.
If you are a party animal, Google+ has given you the perfect platform to enjoy!
