Travel solutions provider Cleartrip will be focusing more on mobile application-based services and transactions, according to its Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice-President Subrahmanya Sharma.
"Already about 60 per cent of our investments are going into technology development and marketing initiatives in this regard and we will increase it further in days to come,’’ he said in a press conference here on Tuesday.
As of now, 40 per cent of Cleartrip's transactions and 43 per cent of revenues are from mobile transactions. In the next 18 months, mobiles will be more than the desktops, he said, adding that it would be a 'tipping point' for Cleartrip as well.
The $800-million company, which started its operations in 2006, now operates in seven countries. "We are registering a growth of 800 per cent in most of the segments,’’ Sharma said.
