Aqua Designs, which is in water management engineering, has launched Biolan, a food composter from Finland. It is suitable for small kitchens, hotels and industrial canteens, farmhouses and hill stations to compost food waste into organic manure. There are two models to choose from (220 litres and 550 litres). One can convert 6-8 kg of food waste per day in 220 litres and 10-12 kg in 550 litres. It is designed to be odourless and rodent-free. It operates without electricity. It also has adjustable ventilation for quicker composting. Prices begin at Rs 75,000.

Kutchina has introduced Pure, a device to wash and sterilise fruits and vegetables and rid them of chemicals. The product features include an LCD screen display showing current operating mode and time period, fully automated water inlet and outlet, inbuilt basket for washing and adjustable timer. The product is priced at Rs 14,990.

Kurlon has launched a new spring mattress called Legacy. It is meant to eliminate pressure on the body.
