SSN Logistics Pvt Ltd, which operates under the Delhivery brand, has raised $85 million in Series D funding led by Tiger Global with participation from existing investors, including Multiples Alternate Asset Management and Nexus Venture Partners. Delhivery, which is an e-commerce logistics firm, will use the money to build infrastructure and design services for e-commerce, hyper-local commerce, C2C commerce and other verticals with specialised requirements such as reverse logistics, furniture and grocery.
Vedantu receives $5 million
Bengaluru-based Vedantu, a start-up in the education space, has raised $5 million in Series A funding from Accel Partners and Tiger Global. Vedantu provides private tutoring services from classes six to 12 and also IIT foundation preparation courses for various exams.
Gopalakrishnan invests in Uniphore
Uniphore Software Systems, a Chennai-based speech recognition solutions company, has raised Series A funding, including from S Gopalakrishnan, co-founder, Infosys. The money will be used to fuel Uniphore’s global expansion, and product and core technology development plans. Prior to this, the company had received investment from IDG Ventures India, Indian Angel Network, Ray Stata, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Analog Devices, YourNest Angel Fund, and seed investment from Rural Technology and Business Incubator at IIT-Madras, Villgro Innovations Foundation and the National Research Development Corporation.
ZapStitch raises $2 million
Bengaluru-based ZapStitch, a cloud data integration platform, has raised $2 million in pre-Series A funding, led by Helion Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners. The company will use the money on product development, strengthening the team and on marketing.
Angel fund for Awaaz De
Ahmedabad-based enterprise-scale communication start-up Awaaz De Infosystems Private Ltd has raised an angel round from a consortium of angels led by Mumbai-based angel investor Samir Shah. An incubatee of CIIE, IIM-Ahmedabad Awaaz De provides customised enterprise-scale solutions for organisations to better communicate with their customers and stakeholders through text and voice messages.
