Google on Tuesday celebrated the 186th birth anniversary of Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy with an interactive doodle.
The doodle comes in the form a slideshow and apart from the image of Tolstoy writing at his desk, scenes from his literary work are also included.
The doodle has images from War and Peace, considered as a literary masterpiece. The other two works that find place in the doodle are Anna Karenina and The Death of Ivan Ilyich.
Although a Christian anarchist, Tolstoy's thoughts on non-violent action is said to have inspired Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.
Born in 1828, Tolstoy breathed his last in 1910. He is said to have died from pneumonia.
