Sotheby's will no longer be known just as one of the premier art auction houses in the world, as they now add to their list of accomplishments a lovely Sotheby's Champagne. This champagne is available in magnums and bottles and can be purchased at Sotheby's Wine retail store in New York and online at www.sothebyswine.com.
The champagne is produced by the renowned company R&L Legras, a brand that was established in 1808 and is run by Julien Barbier. R&L Legras supplies many of France's three-Michelin–star restaurants with their own champagne. They have also had an existing relationship with Sotheby's, their own label being stocked in the retail store and served at Sotheby's events. Sotheby's Champagne is made with 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes grown exclusively in the Grand Cru vineyards in Chouilly. Jamie Ritchie, CEO of Sotheby's Wine in Asia and US stated that the Sotheby's Champagne produced by R&L Legras will be served at Sotheby's events in New York, London and Hong Kong. It is a light and fresh champagne, which can be savoured at any time of the day. Sotheby's Champagne is available in the US at $29.95 for a bottle and $69.95 for a magnum.
