Indian couturiers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s exhibition “India Fantastique” will be held in London with Sotheby’s hosting some of their designer wear and interior decor from September 3-5.
The exhibition will coincide with the launch of a lavish two volume publication by Thames and Hudson, which showcases the duo’s remarkable career.
The designer duo have built a 25-year-old partnership that has included designing for leading actors and actresses, including Judi Dench and Sophie Moreau, and working with directors on costumes for lavish Bollywood films.
The couturiers have also created extraordinary maximalist interiors which combine art, artefacts, antiques and Indian textiles, to build a brand that marries Indian tradition with contemporary luxury.
The exhibition at Sotheby’s will feature their landmark fashion designs set against a backdrop of images from some of their most fabulous interiors.
