Sangit Kala Kendra has awarded Aditya Vikram Birla Kalashikhar Puraskar to Pratibha Agrawal, an actor, director and founder of the Natya Shodh Sansthan for her lifetime achievement.
Anurupa Roy, a puppeteer and Puppet Theatre Director, and Sankar Venkateswaran, a Theatre Director from Kerala have been chosen for the Aditya Vikram Birla Kalakiran Puraskars.
The annual Aditya Vikram Birla Kalashikhar Puraskar and the Aditya Vikram Birla Kalakiran Puraskars are conferred on a veteran artist in a specific field and a younger artist who has the potential to make it to the top.
Rajashree Birla, President, Sangit Kala Kendra said the panel of judges included Usha Ganguly, Sunil Shanbag, Surya Mohan Kulshreshtha and Sanjna Kapoor.
The award will be presented by Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Maharashtra, at the 20th anniversary of Sangit Kala Kendra to be held on November 19 in Mumbai.
