Vivo IPL 2017 has achieved a cumulative reach of 185.7 million viewers in just three matches.
Sony Max, Sony Six and Sony ESPN, the official broadcasters of the Vivo IPL, said it had surpassed all expectations in the opening week of the T20 cricket tournament. With an average time-spent (TS) of 72 minutes per viewer, TS has reached an all-time high. The viewership across CS 2+ at an all India level for first three matches is 29,484 average impressions (000s) and at CS 15+ at an all India level is 25,205 average impressions (000s).
In a statement, the broadcaster said that due to dynamic changes in the measurement system while last year’s performance may not be strictly comparable, however, to put it in context, the first 3 matches of 2016 got a cumulative reach of 160.7 million with an average time-spent of 46 minutes.
