A town mayor, his wife and two other people were killed on Friday in an attack by unidentified gunmen at an airport in the Philippine capital, an official said.

Four others were injured in the attack at terminal 3 of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, according to Angel Honrado, the general manager of the facility.

Ukol Talumpa, mayor of Labangan town in Zamboanga del Sur province, and his wife had just arrived from the southern city of Zamboanga and were waiting for their pick up when two suspects on a motorcycle opened fire at them.

The other dead included an 18-month-old boy who was not yet identified, Honrado said.
