Two top American Senators including Carl Levin, who chairs the powerful Armed Services Committee, would travel to Afghanistan and Pakistan to look at security and political developments in the region.
Senator Levin would be joined by Senator Jack Reed, who is a senior member of Armed Services Committee. For security reasons, the exact dates of their trip have not been announced.
During the trip, the Senators will meet with high-ranking foreign leaders, diplomats, and American military commanders, civilian personnel, according to a press statement issued by their office.
