Bank of Cyprus chairman resigns

Bank of Cyprus chairman Andreas Artemi resigned on Tuesday over the planned reorganisation of the country’s leading lender, state broadcaster RIK reported.

Artemi is opposed to the planned tax levy on deposits of more than 100,000 euros, as part of the bailout deal, the report said.
