Three passengers were today injured as a bomb blast rocked the main international airport in China’s commercial hub of Shanghai, authorities said.
The explosion at Shanghai Pudong International Airport occurred at around 2:20 pm near a check-in counter at Terminal 2, when what appears to be a home-made explosive blew up, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted Shanghai Airport Authority — which manages the airport — as saying.
The injured have been admitted to hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the blast, the report said.
