Google Glass was sold for $1,500.

Tech giant Google sold its wearable computer Google Glass to adult US residents on Tuesday, according to the company’s website.

The sale will go on for one day only. The wearable device was sold for $1,500, the website said.

Google Glass features a camera and Bluetooth. The “high-resolution display is the equivalent of a 25-inch (64-centimetre) high-definition screen from 8 feet (2.4 metres) away,” the website explained.

“We’ve got a limited number of spots available, so don’t wait too long – we can’t wait to meet you and hear about your first adventures with Glass,” Google said in a post.

After Tuesday only those invited to join Google’s Explorer programme will be able to purchase the device.

Google has not announced when the device will go on general retail sale.
