A hijacked aeroplane landed in Geneva on Monday and a suspected hijacker has been arrested, a news report said.
The suspect was arrested without any harm to the passengers, who all disembarked safely, Swiss news broadcaster RTS reported online, citing airport spokesman Bertrand Staempfli.
The Ethiopian Airlines flight left Addis Ababa at 2130 GMT on Sunday for Rome before it was “was forced to proceed to Geneva Airport,” the airline said online.
“All passengers and crew are safe” it said.
All other flights from the airport were cancelled, and its gates closed, according to Swiss news broadcaster RTS.
