In spite of the devaluation of the rupee which made foreign travel costlier, there was a hike in the number of Indians visiting Germany last year. According to Romit Theolphilus, a senior German National Tourist Office official, who launched a Destination Germany India Pool road show here recently, tourist arrivals from India had increased by 5.4 per cent in 2013.
