Pakistan has hiked the price of petrol by Rs 22.20 a litre to Rs 272 effective Thursday due to the plummeting value of the country's currency, the finance ministry said in a statement.
High speed diesel will now cost Rs 280 a litre after an increase of Rs 17.20, it said. Kerosene and light diesel oil prices were increased as well.
