Seven people were killed and dozens injured Tuesday when a magnitude 6.2- earthquake hit northern parts of Sumatra island, officials said.
Five people were killed by falling debris when their houses collapsed in the Bener Meriah district in Aceh province, said Rusli N Aldi, the deputy district chief.
Two people died in Central Aceh district, a hospital official, Muhammad, said.
