Be an entrepreneur, never run from a crisis, always be confident and bold, make yourself technologically sound and always work on your weaknesses, these were pearls of wisdom for the students of Bangalore’s Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM-B), from Mittu Chandilya, CEO, Air Asia. He was speaking at the business school’s convocation. In his address to the outgoing batch, Chandilya talked about his life’s journey and emphasised on the importance of parents the values they instil in their children at an early age.
A graduate of INSEAD, Chandilya also spoke about his leadership style and one of the biggest challenges he still faces in his life— “the ability to maintain a work life balance”. Rajesh Panda, SIBM Bangalore’s Director also addressed the students and urged them to stay inquisitive. Panda asked the outgoing batch to try and maintain a balance between their careers and personal life going forward and asked them to live their live to the fullest. Their speeches were followed by the award ceremony. A total of 168 students received their MBA during the convocation ceremony. A new student council was also appointed for the coming academic session.
