DLF economic zone gets fire station
DLF's five-million-sq.-ft IT SEZ in Chennai now has its own fire station, a novel feature for an IT SEZ.
According to a press release from the company, the information technology buildings at the special economic zone are a work place for over 40,000 people employed by over 34 companies including multinationals and domestic market leaders. There are 10 towers in the special economic zone.
The fire station with a Finnish-make Bronto Skylift Hydraulic platform to reach up to a height of 60 m is a key safety feature for the office complex where these companies have committed investments of over Rs 3,000 crore.
