L&T Hybrid Equity, one of the top-performing funds under the aggressive hybrid category, suits investors with an appetite for medium-to-high risk. The fund has clocked a compounded annualised return (CAGR) of 11.4% since its launch in February 2011. It allocates 65-75% to equities and the rest to debt instruments. The fund's deft juggling between debt and equity has paid off over the long run. One-third of its equity assets has been in mid- and small-caps, spicing up the fund's returns during rallies; higher allocation to large-caps has helped it weather downtrends well.
