Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addresses at the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) program in Chennai on September 04 where she emphasized how Prime Minister Modi meticulously considers ground-level views before formulating policies, rejecting claims of hasty decision-making. She further highlighted that the goal of national development by 2047 should be seen as a genuine aspiration rather than mere political sloganeering.
Addressing the event, Nirmala Sitharaman said, “The PM literally labours to know what the views are on the ground. So, policies are never made in a hurry, they are never made with the confidence that we know it all...Before the (Lok Sabha) election campaign, there was a context to it also that today in India, if you are looking wanting to reach a good stage of being developed as a country by 2047, it’s alright for us to say that it is a political sloganeering. No, don’t all of us want to see this country better off? ...”
