In a bid to introduce entry-level supersport motorcycling in India, Bajaj Auto has now brought in KTM’s RC 390 and 200 to the Indian market. The fully faired RC 390 and RC 200 share their four-stroke, liquid cooled, single-cylinder engines with KTM’s hugely popular naked bike family, the Duke 390 and 200.

While the RC390’s single-cylinder mill produces a maximum power of 43.5PS and a peak torque of 35Nm, the RC200 comes with a peak power output of 25PS and 19.2 Nm of torque. The RC390 also comes with ABS from Bosch and Metzeler tyres as standard fitment.

Despite sharing the same hearts as the Dukes, the RCs come with very different vehicle dynamics, thanks to KTM’s experience in MotoGP’s 250cc class (Moto3), the press release from the company said. The two RCs feature twin projector headlamps, body integrated pillion seat design, forged aluminum triple clamps and an upside down WP forks. The RC twins also feature a redesigned steel trellis frame for racing dynamics. The RC390 and 200 have been priced at ₹2,05,000 and ₹1,60,000 respectively (Ex-showroom Delhi).
