Piaggio Vespa has unveiled the Elegante, a premium variant of the standard Vespa. To make this limited edition more visually appealing, Vespa has announced two new metallic colour schemes. According to company’s press statement, the “Marrone Crete Senesi” colour scheme, a metallic light brown, is inspired by the brown clays of Siena region in Italy, and the “Bianco Perla” scheme, pearl white, has been sought from white pearls from the sea.
The redesigned elements include retro-styled twin seats, finished in colour coordinated leather, and new elements on the fascia such as a chrome grille. There would be no change in the engine, and the Vespa Elegante will come fitted with the same 125cc mills that are seen on the standard Vespas.
The Vespa Elegante Limited Edition will also come with premium accessories, such as a colour coordinated half-face helmet, a chrome guard kit that goes around the entire scooter, with a front bumper guard as well, and an “Elegante” badge.
The prices haven’t been announced by the company as of now, but the Limited Edition is expected to attract a premium of ₹8000-10,000 at the very least.
