After launching the revamped version of its premium 150cc naked bike, FZ-S FI Version 2.0, Yamaha has now announced the redesigned semi-faired twin of the same, the Fazer FI Version 2.0.
The new Fazer FI will be equipped with the same new air-cooled “Blue Core” 149cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine with that was launched with the FZ-S FI.
In a statement issued by the company, Yamaha Motor Sales India is banking on the Fazer’s edgy, sporty look and high performance and is targeting the motorcycle at riders between the ages of 18-30.
With the overhaul, the Fazer FI Version 2.0 gets much of the same new engine related advancements as the FZ-S FI, such as improved throttle response with 14 per cent improvement in fuel economy, a fuel-injected engine (as opposed to the old Fazer’s carburetted motor), an “ECO Indicator” on a refreshed instrument panel that glows when the bike is being ridden in an economical manner.
There are a few mechanical changes too, in terms of a new suspension and chassis setup. Like its naked twin, the Fazer also gets a tandem seat designed and redesigned grab handles.
The new Fazer FI Version 2.0 will be available at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of ₹83,850.
