Bentley Motors has announced a new model in its Flying Spur range, the Flying Spur W12 S. The new model is Bentley’s first four-door saloon with a top speed that exceeds 200 miles per hour, the company claimed, adding that it targets buyers looking for a more sporty experience, with increased torque, power, and response.

The car boasts of a six-litre twin-turbo W12 engine under the hood, claiming to deliver 626 bhp of power and 820 Nm torque, and a top speed of 202 miles per hour (325 km per hour). It has a 40:60 rear-biased torque split and comes with all-wheel-drive. Bentley claimed a 0-100 km per hour time of 4.5 seconds.

The suspension system also gets a tweak with the new responsive suspension tune, which the company said improved handling and provided more traction. The car also features the option of carbon ceramic brakes. The car stays true to Bentley’s typical heavy majesty in the looks department, and gets gloss-black bodywork detailing, subtle blackware elements, daytime running LED lights, highlighting the car’s dark look and feel. The front and tail lamps also get a dark tint.

The automaker said that the W12 S has an athletic character, which integrates the traditional Bentley style with a sporting stance, with sharp feature lines adding to the car’s rear haunches. The W12 S’ front bumper design, Beluga gloss rear diffuser and door mirrors, and gloss-black front radiator matrix come from Bentley’s new Flying Spur V8 S.

Bentley offers two alloy wheel options for the W12 S—21” 7-spoke with a new gloss-black finish, and the new optional 21” Sports 5-spoke with a gloss-black or a dark tint finish.

Bentleys are known and revered for their opulent and luxurious interiors. The W12 S boasts of handcrafted interiors with a wide range of colours, unique stitching, and a new fascia finish. A three-spoke Sport Plus steering wheel and knurled gearshift paddles are standard, while they are optional for other models.

The company claimed a unique colour split, created using a single-tone interior with accents in one of 17 hide colours, and unique contrast stitching to the diamond quilting, the Sport Plus steering wheel and the interior.

With regard to the climate and infotainment system, the car comes with an innovative Touch Screen Remote, accessed from the rear centre console by pushing a button, which allows a passenger to control the car’s climate and infotainment system. The W12 S also has a WiFi hotspot, providing connectivity on demand when on the go.

Bentley said it would start custom deliveries of the Flying Spur W12 S by the end of this year.
