Two new 110cc models beef up the company’s scooter lineup

Hero Motocorp debuted two new scooters in the Indian market this week. Built on a completely new engine and chassis platform, the Maestro Edge and Duet both feature identical 110cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder OHC engines that can produce a maximum power output of 8.31 BHP at 8000 RPM and maximum torque of 8.3 Nm at 6500 RPM.

The Maestro Edge, which made its global debut in Colombia recently, is a premium product that boasts of several unique features like European Switches with easily-serviceable covers, front winker and LED tail light, front and under seat luggage hooks, titanium muffler cover and stylish alloy wheels.

It also comes with 12 inch front wheels that enhance comfort and ride quality. Hero claims a mileage of 65.8 kmpl on the Maestro Edge, which is available in two variants – VX and LX.

The Duet comes with a metal body and according to Hero is designed for a wide spectrum of customers. It is also available in VX and LX variants is expected to deliver a mileage of 63.8 kmpl.

Both scooters feature a number of unique features designed to ensure maximum convenience such as a charging port, twin parking lamps, remote fuel lid and seat opening, front luggage box, boot light, digi-analogue dashboard, pass switch, and even a service due indicator. They also come with safety features like integrated braking systems, telescopic front suspensions, side stand indicators, and throttle position sensors (TPS).

The Maestro Edge will be launched across markets on 13 October with a starting price of Rs. 49,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the LX version and Rs. 50,700 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the VX version. The market launch of the Duet will follow thereafter.
