Mercedes-Benz India has announced an extensive line-up of models that will be debuted in India and put on display at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018 to be held in Greater Noida near Delhi in the second week of February. To whip up the excitement amongst enthusiasts, Merc has revealed that in addition to a whole list of its AMG models, it also plans to exclusively showcase the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team car and an electric concept.
The key highlight of Mercedes-Benz’s product offensive is expected to be based on three distinct product attributes: Luxury, Versatility and Future Mobility.
Making its much-awaited India debut will be the ultra-sophisticated, Mercedes-Maybach S 650, a sedan that is exclusivity and luxury personified. The Maybach S 650 will offer the perfection of the S-Class with the exclusivity of the Maybach and further accentuate the brand’s overwhelming demand in the Indian market, said a Merc press release.
The forerunner of Mercedes-Benz’s new product brand for electric mobility globally- EQ, the ‘Concept EQ’ will also be showcased to clearly manifest the German marque’s direction towards creating a sustainable ecosystem of services, technologies and innovations and also delineate its long-term strategy of introducing the ‘EQ’ brand of battery electric vehicles in India. The name EQ stands for “Electric Intelligence” and is derived from the Mercedes-Benz brand values of “Emotion and Intelligence”, said the official statement.
Another unique vehicle on display and which will officially be launched here later in the year will be the new E-Class All Terrain. Where usually conventional sedans give up, the SUV-like versatility of the E-Class All Terrain begins its journey, thanks to its high ground clearance, large wheels and 4-MATIC all-wheel drive tech, mentioned the company release.
