Renault India has introduced the facelifted Duster with new safety and comfort features, design enhancements and claimed improvement in fuel efficiency.
The new range starts at ₹8.30 Lakh (Delhi ex-showroom). The changes are meant to make space for the Lodgy, soon to be launched in India. The Duster now features a new “CMO10” engine compartment, a new multi information display with service reminders. It also has an ECO mode feature, cruise control and speed limiter, new steering column, new instrument cluster and a speed sensitive door lock.
On the exterior, smoked headlamps, body colour door handles and rear view mirrors are new features that come with the new Duster. The engine has been carried forward from the previous generation model with choice of two diesel engines and one petrol unit. For the more powerful diesel variant, the 1.5 K9K, dCi (common rail direct injection) diesel engine — delivering 110PS@4000RPM and peak torque of 245NM@1750RPM — will do the business for the higher variants. The Duster RxE, RxL Diesel variants will get the 1.5 dCi K9K engine, which produces 85PS@3750RPM and 200NM@1750RPM.
Renault SecureRenault is also introducing innovative after sales support to customers and its latest offering includes integrating extended warranty service contracts with Roadside Assistance which offers towing facilities in cases of immobilisation, accidents or any unforeseen event, and this is offered under the brand “Renault Secure”.
