Yamaha Motor has launched the Fazer 25, the faired version of its recent FZ 25 — the successor to the FZ 16. The bike carries the same engine as that on the FZ 25 — 249 cc, four-stroke, SOHC, two-valve, single-cylinder and fuel-injected. The Yamaha Fazer 25 will hit Indian roads by September 2017.
Blue Core engineThe new model, like the FZ 25, has been developed with Yamaha’s New Generation Engine Development Ideal — Blue Core — featuring overall improved performance, including fuel efficiency, acceleration and environmental friendliness. The model complies with BS-IV emission standards.
It churns out a maximum power of 20.9 PS at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 20 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
It also sports new features including the LED headlight and an LCD instrument cluster.
Touring capabilitiesThe FZ 25 proved to be a good option for city commute as well as stints on the highway with its capable engine and comfortable riding posture.
The new Fazer aims to carry on with the same appeal and looks to lure customers who prefer fully-faired bikes.
The new Fazer 25 will be available at Yamaha dealerships in two colours — “Soulful Cyan” and “Rhythmic Red”.
It starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹1,29,335 (Delhi).
