On-demand autorickshaw aggregator Jugnoo has acquired SubKuchFresh, an online store that brings fresh fruits and vegetables to customers’ doorsteps, to strengthen its recently launched grocery delivery service Fatafat. The acquisition enables Jugnoo to offer a more comprehensive grocery delivery service with better procedures to procure, sort, package and do quality check of the products. It also helps Jugnoo make better use of the autorickshaws as its logistics partners, allowing the rickshaw drivers to earn extra income while not transporting passengers. The delivery service is available in Mohali, Panchkula and Chandigarh. Jugnoo will expand the service to Gurugram shortly and to 30 more cities by this year-end.
ListUp gets seed capital
ListUp, an app to buy and sell used goods, has raised about ₹3.3 crore ($500,000) in seed funding led by Kae Capital. The other investors are Kunal Shah, Chairman, FreeCharge, and Sandeep Tandon of the Tandon Group. Founded by Sumit Gupta, Pulkit Gupta and Saurabh Jain in January, ListUp aims to disrupt the classifieds. It is focussed on P2P exchange of second-hand goods. The company will use the money to improve the product such as using data to offer personal recommendations, offline and online marketing and creating network density in the target markets.
CreditVidya raises ₹13.5 crore
CreditVidya, a Mumbai-based financial technology start-up that provides credit scores, has raised about ₹13.5 crore in Series A funding from early-stage venture capital firm Kalaari Capital. Besides, it also got ₹1 crore from Siddharth Parekh of Paragon Partners, who had previously made an angel investment in the firm, and some key employees of the company. It will use the money to advance its technology platform and launch additional products that help lenders approve more customers, minimise fraud rates and accelerate customer verification processes, according to a release.
Zapluk buys Pamperazi
Zapluk, a Hyderabad-based on-demand beauty and wellness service provider, has bought and merged with itself Chennai-based home beauty service provider Pamperazi, in an equity and cash deal. Lavanya Hariharan, founder of Pamperazi, joins Zapluk as a co-founder.
