The Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), the technology business incubator of IIM Ahmedabad, has invested an undisclosed amount as seed funding in Oizom Instruments, an IoT start-up focussed on monitoring, tracking, managing and reducing toxic pollutants in the air, water and soil. Oizom has developed an environmental data infrastructure with a sensor-based IoT at its core. Founded by Ankit Vyas, Vrushank Vyas and Sohil Patel in 2015, the company has developed a two-fold solution, made up of an integrated hardware system that collects data and a data analysis-cum-visualisation platform that provides insights based on the data that is fed in. Oizom’s devices are fully solar powered. Oizom’s plans to offer a Data-as-a-Service model for predictive analysis of environmental health.
