Hardayal Singh, a farmer and a bee-keeper in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, opens up a box to show honey bees at work. Bee-keeping is a major activity in Bharatpur, with about 3,000 farmers involved in it, and the district is a major honey producing hub during the mustard flowering season every winter. Singh keeps around 500 boxes of bees along the mustard fields, but earnings have been falling over the last three years due to surplus production Photo: Tina Edwin
