To mark its 25th anniversary, rural marketing consultancy MART is organising Rural Summit 2018 in the Capital next week. The conference, slated for December 6, intends to bring together development professionals, the government and corporate companies to take a look at what has changed for the rural consumer. Besides presenting a macro view on the rural economy, the discussion will revolve around the paradigm shift in rural marketing, the new rural consumer, and whether technology is being leveraged adequately to bring value to buyers in the hinterland.
The idea is to review some of the initiatives that have already taken place and explore possibilities of new partnerships. It would also discuss how the marketing divide can be further bridged with meaningful big data insights, so that the current challenges being faced in rural marketing can be addressed within the next decade.
