Srinivasan HR, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, TAKE Solutions
An early riser, I start my day at 3.30 am. After clearing official mails, I begin my regular workout.
Fitness is a lifestyle choice and has been my way of life for close to 40 years. I find it natural and comfortable to work out in a gym or go for a run. Fitness is essential to stay alert and agile.
I travel extensively but ensure I make time for my workout. I incorporate 40–50 km of running every week, spread over 4-5 days. I also do three days of strength training, three days of yoga and a day of swimming. I gym at home or wherever I stay. When I run, it’s the road in overseas locations.
I have five small meals through the day, including vegetables and fluids. I carry a “smart snack box” for between meal cravings. As a vegetarian, my box consists of nuts and dried fruits (walnuts, almonds, pistachios, raisins). I eat a fruit whenever possible. Sugar is avoided in all forms.
Exercise is not only important but vital. It helps you get more out of time at work and improves your efficiency and productivity. I believe, if I am unable to take care of my fitness, I will not be able to take care of the health of my organisation.
