For Mumbai radiologist Hemant Morparia, fashioning clay figurines, such as these quirky ones of Rajnikanth, is a therapeutic pastime.

“If journalism is supposed to be the first draft of history, then cartoons are surely its first laugh,” says Mumbai radiologist Hemant Morparia presently exhibiting his cartoons and sculptures under the theme ‘Motabhai is watching you.’ Moonlighting between medicine and cartoons for about three decades, Morparia says working with clay is “particularly relaxing”.
