OPPO, Chinese consumer electronics company, has launched its K series of mid-range smartphones in India, beginning with the K1 which retails for ₹ 16,990.
The OPPO K1 will be available on Flipkart from February 12 in two colour variants - Piano Black and Astral Blue. The latter is in a duo-tone pink and purple, mimicking a twilight sky.
The new device comes with an an in-display fingerprint scanner, a new trend among smartphones and a 6.41- inch screen with AMOLED display. On-board is a 25 MP front-facing camera to cater to those who the selfie generation of consumers.
It is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 660 Mobile Platform and promises to support heavy applications like games. The OPPO K1 runs on 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM memory. The K1 comes with a 6.41-inch AMOLED Full HD + display with screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The OPPO K1 uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, which will provide more protection for mobile phones as it can survive 1.6-meter, shoulder-height drops onto hard, rough surfaces up to 80 per cent of the time. The device offers a higher screen-to-body ratio of 91 per cent and features a waterdrop notch on top of the display where you will find the front facing camera.
In keeping with its “Selfie Expert” claim, OPPO has equipped the K1 with a 25 MP front camera with F2.0 aperture and a 16MP + 2 MP dual rear camera with AI beautification and AI Stickers.
The K1 runs on a 3,500mAh battery.
OPPO is offering the K1 at a 90 per cent buyback value for a period of up to 8 months, with an additional bank discount.
